Description

How prepared are you to teach students with unique abilities, such as those on the autism spectrum? Fortunately, many of the strategies that are likely to support these students are likely to benefit the learning of all your students.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about the characteristics, portrayals, and experiences of college students on the autism spectrum, as well as engage in activities and scenarios aimed at learning to inclusively teach this student population. Participants will come away with practical approaches for serving these students, as well as incorporating principles of universal design that may benefit their students more generally.

This event is hosted by the Delta Program and is cosponsored by the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE).
